Frequently asked questions
- Can you reverse engineer a worn or broken part?
- Often yes. Worn features are reconstructed using symmetry, mating parts and engineering judgement — this is discussed openly where assumptions are needed.
- Do you 3D scan parts?
- Scanning is used where organic or complex geometry justifies it. Simpler parts are usually more accurate when measured and modelled conventionally.
- Can you improve the part while recreating it?
- Yes. Recreating a component is a good opportunity to address known failure points or manufacturing difficulty.
