Frequently asked questions

Can you reverse engineer a worn or broken part?
Often yes. Worn features are reconstructed using symmetry, mating parts and engineering judgement — this is discussed openly where assumptions are needed.
Do you 3D scan parts?
Scanning is used where organic or complex geometry justifies it. Simpler parts are usually more accurate when measured and modelled conventionally.
Can you improve the part while recreating it?
Yes. Recreating a component is a good opportunity to address known failure points or manufacturing difficulty.
